SpaceX launch of powerful Falcon Heavy rocket set for Wednesday from Florida's Cape Canaveral

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. —

SpaceX's launch of its Falcon Heavy rocket, which was scrubbed on Monday due to weather, is now scheduled for liftoff on Wednesday. It's the first Falcon Heavy rocket launch since 2024.

The 85-minute launch window opens at 10:13 a.m. for the ViaSat-3 F3 mission to geosynchronous transfer orbit from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

A backup opportunity is also available for Thursday, with another 85-minute window that opens at 10:09 a.m.

When the launch happens, following stage separation, Falcon Heavy's two side boosters will land on SpaceX's Landing Zones 2 and 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
