Man accused of engaging in sexual activity with 13-year-old Punta Gorda girl

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. —

A Port Charlotte man was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, Kevin Finscue Camacho, 18, is accused of going to Punta Gorda to meet the girl in December after they had reportedly been talking online. The victim's family eventually discovered the incident.

Detectives said that Finscue Camacho reportedly admitted to them that he had engaged in sexual activity with the victim multiple times and sent sexually explicit material to her online.

Finscue Camacho is facing charges of lewd or lascivious battery (victim 12 years or older, but less than 16), traveling to meet a minor after using a computer to lure a child, transmission of material harmful to a minor by electronic device and possession of child sexual abuse images.

Finscue Camacho is out on bond after he was arrested on a Sarasota County warrant two weeks ago on child sexual abuse image charges, according to deputies.
