Peterson Farms juice plant to close in June, 135 employees set to lose jobs in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

The Peterson Farms plant in Lee County will close on June 27, putting 135 employees out of work.

According to a letter from the Peterson Farms Family of Companies, a permanent plant shutdown is expected to take place at the plant located at 9910 Bavaria Road. The entire workforce of the facility, which is 135 employees, will be affected.

The employees have been notified that their separation will occur on June 27, as an official notice was provided under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
