NAPLES, Fla. (WINK)—The FC Naples team doctor is hosting a workshop designed to help young players stay in the game.
Dr. Bryan Hanyspiak will lead a sports injury prevention workshop on May 7 at Physicians Regional. The free event is geared toward young athletes, focusing on helping them understand their bodies before chasing the next level.
Defender Max Glasser will be at the event. After dealing with injuries himself and learning just how much work it takes to stay on the field, he says it's not just about talent, but commitment, discipline, and taking advantage of the resources around you.
"Staying on the field is a big part of the game. As I've gotten older, I have to do more and more. It's a whole commitment, but, yeah, it's worth it," Glasser said. "So hopefully they will now work hard, and maybe their dreams can come true as well."
The workshop is set for 4 p.m. at the Pine Ridge location. Kids will get a chance to meet FC Naples players after the event.
