A Collier County man was arrested Thursday after he was accused of possessing 37 child pornography files.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Nicander Troy Hildebrand, 37, was arrested at his home after an investigation was conducted that connected him to the reported files.
Deputies said they received multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving suspected child sexual abuse material uploaded to a Google Drive account. Google then identified the content and reported it.
During the investigation, detectives said they determined the activity was coming from Hildebrand's home and accused him of possessing the files. A total of 37 child pornography files were found, including photos and videos depicting kids as young as 7, according to the sheriff's office. In addition, multiple electronic devices were recovered for forensic analysis.
The sheriff's office partnered with the Southwest Florida INTERCEPT Task Force and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force during the investigation as it continues.
Hildebrand is facing 37 charges of possession of child pornography and is in the Collier County Jail.
