Runners gathered at Bell Tower Shops in Villas for the 3rd annual Cincorita Run, celebrating Cinco de Mayo with races, food, drinks, and family-friendly activities.
Hosted by Cantina Laredo, the event included three races: a 5K, a 1-mile race, and the popular Margarita Mile. After crossing the finish line, participants enjoyed a brunch buffet, drink specials, including the restaurant’s signature Cinco Rita, and a festive atmosphere.
The celebration extended beyond the races, offering fun for everyone. Kids joined the fiesta with activities such as cornhole, a bounce house, cotton candy, snow cones, and piñatas.
Ashley Morales of Lutheran Services Florida explained the organization’s impact, saying, “Lutheran Services Florida serves children and families in Fort Myers for tons of different programs. We have huge shelters for kids in crisis. We have refugees. We’re coming over here and we just hope families thrive in general, making sure people have the housing they need, the food they need, whatever they need to thrive to make this community better.”
Proceeds from the event supported Lutheran Services Florida, which provides programs and services to children and families in need.
