Fort Myers man accused of probation violation following conviction for stealing tools from store

A man is accused of violating the terms of his probation following a conviction on felony theft charges, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers says Charles Mott, 42, was initially arrested after he went to a local store and stole tools by hiding them under his shirt. Mott was caught on surveillance cameras, arrested and adjudicated guilty as a habitual felony offender.

Mott spent 364 days in jail before being released. He's accused of violating the terms of his probation.

Mott is 5 feet 11 inches, weighs 189 pounds and will be held without bond upon his arrest.
