'Operation Gulf of America': Multi-year narcotics sting leads to 15 arrests across Lee, Collier Co.

The State Attorney's Office announced in a press conference on Wednesday that a multi-year-long Netforce operation has come to an end with 15 people arrested on drug-related charges.

According to the SAO in its press conference, Operation "Gulf of America" investigated narcotics trafficking, specifically that coming from Mexico and Puerto Rico. In total 15 people were arrested from Lee and Collier Counties, with the entire investigation beginning in Lee County.

The individuals arrested as part of this operation are:

• Miguel Garcia Jr.
• Manuel Saavedra
• Jesus Razo
• Daniel Barrozo
• William Salmons
• Omar Buenrostro
• Gerardo Grimaldo
• Jaiver Leal
• Rene Oswaldo Gramajo
• Jose Buenrostro
• Sarai Buenrostro
• Monico Nieto Maldonado

Netforce seized the following items in the operation:

• Nearly 10 kilos of cocaine
• 1.83 grams of fentanyl
• 10.4 grams of oxycodone
• 1,127.4 grams of marijuana
• 730.6 grams of THC wax
• 30 firearms
• Nearly $150,000 in U.S. currency
