Deputies arrested Rosa Salvador in Lehigh Acres Tuesday night after she was accused of pointing a gun at a man during a dispute over her missing cellphone.
Neighbors reported seeing 12 to 15 deputy cars fill the streets in the area.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office's arrest report, Salvador and the victim had been drinking together when she became aggressive toward him because she couldn’t find her phone.
The report states the victim was forced to walk from his home to a nearby house to search for the phone.
Howard Seitz, who lives nearby, said he wasn’t home at the time but noted that disruptive behavior in the neighborhood isn’t uncommon.
“They came over all drunk, they won’t leave me alone,” Seitz said.
After the victim showed deputies video footage of the incident, they surrounded Salvador’s house and ordered her to come out with her hands up.
Deputies said they found Salvador in a bedroom, unresponsive but breathing.
“We were watching, and they took a lady out on a stretcher,” said Doug Myfield, another neighbor.
Salvador was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment. Deputies recovered a shotgun, which they said closely resembled the weapon seen in the video.
Salvador is facing charges of aggravated assault on a person 65 or older and false imprisonment.
The victim later said the missing cellphone was found in Salvador’s backyard.
