Charlotte County Sheriff's Office deputy arrested by state troopers on DUI charges

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. —

A deputy from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office was arrested by state troopers on Thursday.

According to court records, Lieutenant Scott Clemens was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol on DUI and refusal to submit to DUI testing charges.

CCSO told Gulf Coast News that they are aware of the arrest and are conducting an internal affairs investigation. They add that Clemens has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation occurs, per their policy.
