RSW flight to Frankfurt makes return shortly after departure

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — A Discover Airlines flight to Germany from Southwest Florida International Airport was diverted back just minutes after takeoff.

According to flight tracking sites like FlightRadar and FlightStats, the plane was headed to Frankfurt, Germany around 7:37 p.m.

About 20 minutes after takeoff, it turned around and landed back at RSW. The airline has not yet provided details on what caused the diversion.
