Troopers chase motorcyclist going over 100 mph across Lee County

ESTERO, Fla. (WINK) — Florida Highway Patrol troopers chased a man on a motorcycle across Lee County for more than half an hour Saturday night.

The chase ended early Sunday morning near Tuscany Park Drive and Ryffel Way in Estero. Troopers surrounded the crashed bike at the scene.

FHP says the rider, Adam Troy O'Dell, was going over 100 mph on his motorcycle when troopers first spotted him. He fled and was found again near Alico Road.

When he tried to flee again, troopers say O'Dell crashed into an FHP vehicle. Lee County EMS loaded him into an ambulance and took him to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
