Not Everyone Gets Rain Tuesday—Here’s Who Does

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking isolated inland storms that will continue this evening, especially across Glades and Hendry counties near Lake Okeechobee.

Adequate atmospheric moisture and an incoming frontal boundary will keep rain chances in play for Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

Tuesday

Tuesday will start under a partly to mostly cloudy sky, with morning lows in the lower to mid-70s.

Isolated to scattered storms will develop throughout the afternoon and evening, with 40% rain coverage.

While a few showers near the coast and along I-75 are possible early in the afternoon, most of the later activity will stay farther inland.

High temperatures will reach the lower 90s.

Wednesday 

By Wednesday, a weak cold front moves through, bringing temperatures down a few degrees. Rain coverage will remain spotty at only 30%.

Highs will still be above normal but will drop into the upper 80s to the lower 90s. 

Scattered showers and storms are in the forecast, mainly during the afternoon and evening. 

Drier and slightly cooler conditions are expected for the second half of the work week.
