Cape Coral police arrest man on two charges of molestation of children under 12

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

On May 7, Cape Coral police arrested Luis Andres De Los Santos, 44, on charges of molestation.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, the investigation began on April 1, when the department received a report regarding a possible sexual offense against a child. The Special Victims Unit assumed the investigation and began to conduct interviews and collect evidence.

The investigation revealed that there were two victims, both under the age of 12. Both victims were known to De Los Santos, CCPD said.

Detectives then authored a warrant for De Los Santos' arrest, which was approved by the State Attorney's Office.

De Los Santos was arrested by the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force and transported to the Lee County Jail. He faces two charges of lewd or lascivious molestation.
