Cape Coral police investigate string of golf course crimes caught on camera

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

Cape Coral police are investigating a series of thefts and criminal mischief incidents at golf courses involving four suspects.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on May 11, security cameras captured a group of four men at Palmetto Pines, where a golf cart was stolen and driven onto golf course property, causing additional damage to a cigar vending machine.

CCPD said the same group later arrived at the Coral Oaks Golf Course, damaged storefront glass and burglarized the business.

Detectives are requesting anyone who has security camera or doorbell footage from the areas of Palmetto Pines Golf Course or Coral Oaks Golf Course during the time frame of 1 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on May 11, or who can identify the men involved, to contact the CCPD at 239-574-3223.
