Florida’s mangrove ecosystem showcased at the IMAG aquarium

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

The Mangrove Aquarium at the IMAG offers a close-up look at Florida’s coastal ecosystem, filled with coral, young mangrove trees and a variety of marine life.

Kate shared details about the aquatic life in the tank, including sea urchins with their little hats, shrimp cleaning the gills of fish, and baby horseshoe crabs.

Christian provided additional information about the diverse and fascinating life that depends on Florida’s mangroves, which surround many miles of the state’s coastline.

IMAG is also home to 10 different summer camps. So, when school lets out, the fun can start, but the learning doesn't have to stop. Each camp lasts five days, and your child can explore different topics, from space to storms and even time itself.
