Spirits, Shrek and Star Wars: Alamo Drafthouse Naples hosts interactive movie parties

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK)—Movie lovers in Southwest Florida are getting more than just popcorn and previews at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples. 

On Wednesday night, the theater is hosting “Spirits Night Out” featuring spirit medium Tiffany Rice as part of her 2026 national tour, bringing a supernatural twist to the movie theater experience.

The one-night event includes live audience readings where Rice connects attendees with loved ones in spirit through messages and validations. 

The sold-out event is expected to welcome around 80 guests for an intimate evening focused on healing, connection, and positive energy. 

VIP guests will also have access to a meet and greet, priority seating, a signed copy of Rice’s book, and a celebratory toast following the show.

Spirit Tiff said events like this are what make her work meaningful.

“I love being able to help and heal people. It’s all positive energy,” Rice said.

The Naples theater has become known for turning ordinary movie nights into immersive experiences through themed screenings, interactive entertainment, and live-hosted events that bring audiences into the action.

One of the biggest celebrations coming up is the theater’s “SHREK: 25th Anniversary Movie Party,” happening May 16 through May 21. The event celebrates the 25th anniversary of the beloved animated film that helped launch a generation of DreamWorks fans. Guests can expect an immersive screening with themed props, audience participation, and a live host leading games, including an onion-peeling contest inspired by Shrek’s famous “layers” speech.

“Star Wars” fans also have something to look forward to as the theater hosts events tied to The Mandalorian and Grogu. The upcoming film continues the story of Din Djarin and Grogu, with themed drinks, specialty menu items, and fan-centered experiences planned around the release.

The movie parties are part of Alamo Drafthouse’s signature entertainment style, where fans are encouraged to dress up, quote lines, play games, and fully engage with the films they love. 

The theater combines movies, food, drinks, and live entertainment to create events that go beyond a traditional theater experience.
