Naples man on probation accused of stashing $100K in drugs, guns in storage unit

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — The Collier County Sheriff's office said a Naples man already on felony drug probation is back in jail after detectives uncovered a major stash of drugs, firearms, and cash tied to a suspected drug operation.

Collier County Sheriff's Office Vice and Narcotics detectives said 22-year-old Omar Gutierrez was operating a "one-stop shop" out of a Naples storage unit. Detectives recovered trafficking quantities of narcotics and nearly 2,000 THC vape cartridges, along with multiple firearms and more than $113,000 cash.

Gutierrez is in the Collier County jail, charged with 11 felonies, including trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine. At the time of his arrest, he was on state probation stemming from a 2021 felony drug possession case.

"These dangerous drugs destroy lives, fuel crime and threaten the safety of our community, especially our young people," Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said.

"I commend our Vice and Narcotics detectives for their proactive efforts and swift action in shutting down this operation before these dangerous drugs could make it onto our streets and possibly into the hands of kids," Rambosk said.

The investigation began on Wednesday when detectives conducted a traffic stop on Gutierrez's white Chevrolet Corvette on Radio Lane and said they detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up THC vape cartridges and keys to the storage unit, leading detectives to obtain and execute a search warrant.

Detectives recovered 2.5 kilos of cocaine, 109.7 grams of methamphetamine and 1,825 THC vape cartridges during the search. They also found ketamine, psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, liquid codeine and Xanax.

Three firearms were seized, including one reported stolen out of Collier County in May 2025. Detectives also recovered $113,886 cash.

The recovered drugs have an estimated street value of over $100,000.
