Naples man tied to suspected 'one-stop shop' drug trafficking operation out of storage unit

A Naples man already on felony drug probation is in custody after deputies with the Collier County Sheriff's Office say he was running a "one-stop shop" drug trafficking operation out of a storage unit.

Deputies say the investigation started when they conducted a traffic stop on Omar Gutierrez, 22, on Wednesday. At that stop, they say they detected the scent of marijuana coming from Gutierrez's car and found THC vape cartridges and keys to a storage unit.

Deputies obtained and executed a search warrant on the storage unit and say they found nearly 2,000 THC vape cartridges, multiple firearms and more than $100,000 in cash. Among the items recovered are:

• 2.5 kilos of cocaine
• 109.7 grams of methamphetamine
• 1,825 THC vape cartridges
• Ketamine, psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, liquid codeine and Xanax
• Three firearms, including one reported stolen out of Collier County in May 2025
• $113,886 in cash

CCSO says the recovered narcotics have a reported street value of over $100,000.

Gutierrez was arrested and charged with 11 felonies, including trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine. He was already on state probation following a 2021 felony drug possession case.
