Man wanted in Lee County for violating terms of release following arrest on extortion charges

A man in Lee County is wanted for violating the conditions of his release after an arrest on extortion charges, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

According to Crime Stoppers, Robert Crockett, 39, started a relationship with a local woman. Their relationship became sexual in nature, and Crime Stoppers says Crockett would film the victim without her consent during their encounters.

When the victim found out, Crime Stoppers says Crockett threatened to share the videos with her family, friends and employer. He reportedly wanted $500 in cash and a bus ticket out of town. She went to the police, who arrested Crockett.

He was charged with extortion and released on certain conditions, which he is accused of violating.

Crockett is 5 feet 10 inches, weighs 150 pounds and has the phrase "Boo Boo" tattooed on his neck and the phrase "thug life" tattooed on his left arm.
