Lee Health breaks ground on new healthcare facility in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

Lee Health is breaking ground on a massive new healthcare facility in Cape Coral to centralize advanced outpatient services and address the city’s growing healthcare needs.

The 100,000-square-foot center, located along Veterans Parkway, will offer services including cardiac care, cancer treatment, imaging, surgery, and diagnostic testing.

Health leaders said the project is about more than just constructing a new building. They said it is focused on improving access to care, reducing travel times for patients, and ensuring timely treatment as Cape Coral’s population continues to grow.

The facility is also expected to bring approximately 150 new job opportunities to the area. Monday's groundbreaking was to officiate this project since developers have already begun steel work. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
