Marco Island's police chief Tracy Frazzano to retire by end of May

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. (WINK) — Marco Island Police Chief Tracy Frazzano is retiring after three decades in law enforcement.

Interim City Manager Casey Lucius said Frazzano submitted her notice Monday morning and plans to retire by the end of May.

"Tracy has been through a lot with the City – COVID, protests, hurricanes, budget cuts, etc," Lucius said in an email to city directors.

Lucius said she will work with the Marco Island Police Department leadership team to designate an acting police chief.

During her time leading the department, Frazzano helped the agency achieve accreditation and re-accreditation.
