Two arrested on battery charges after gun used in altercation at Fort Myers apartment complex

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Two people were arrested on battery charges at Drift at the Forum apartment complex in Fort Myers Sunday after police say a gun was used in an altercation.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, three people, two men and one woman, were involved in an altercation. Officers responded to the call at 10:01 a.m.

A gun was used to break up the altercation, but no shots were fired, FMPD said. Afterwards, the scene remained active for five hours.

Two people were arrested on battery charges. No injuries were reported in the altercation.
