Influencers Clavicular and 'Cuban Tarzan' avoid jail time in Everglades alligator shooting case

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. —

Controversial influencer Clavicular and a man who goes by "Cuban Tarzan" on social media have avoided jail time in a case involving a video depicting the apparent shooting of an alligator in the Florida Everglades.

According to court documents and NBC6 South Florida, Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Eric Peters, pleaded no contest on Friday to charges of unlawfully discharging a firearm in public.

"Cuban Tarzan," whose real name is Andrew Morales, also pleaded no contest to the same charge.

Peters and Morales were sentenced to six months of probation and must perform 20 hours of community service, NBC6 reported. They must also take a firearm safety course from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

They face jail time if they violate their probation.

The shooting reportedly occurred in the Francis S. Taylor Everglades Wildlife Management Area on March 26, court records show. Attention was drawn to the event after a video surfaced online, which appeared to show Peters and Morales shooting at an alligator in the water. It is unclear if the alligator was dead or alive at the time of the supposed shooting.

The video prompted an FWC investigation, which led to "looksmaxxing" influencer Peters and Morales being charged in early May.

Who is Clavicular?

Peters is an online personality and streamer on the platform Kick.

He is most well-known for his promotion of a concept called "looksmaxxing," which encourages people to maximize their physical attractiveness by sculpting their jawline through practices that include tapping one's face with a hammer.

The 20-year-old has amassed over 500K followers on Instagram and is a controversial figure in online discussions.

Clavicular's legal troubles

The charges for the reported alligator shooting incident are not the only legal troubles Peters faces.

He was arrested in Fort Lauderdale in March on battery charges after he was accused of instigating a fight between two women and then posting it on social media.

NBC6 reports that Peters is also being sued in Miami-Dade County by a teen influencer accusing him of battery.
