Suspect in custody after shooting in Mira Verde community in Hendry County

HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. —

A suspect is in custody Monday after a shooting happened in the Mira Verde community in Hendry County.

According to the Hendry County Sheriff's Office, deputies and first responders are at the scene.

The sheriff's office asks residents in the area to stay in their homes and avoid the area, and they will provide more information as the investigation continues.
