Kevin Dohm tapped to fill vacant seat on Marco Island City Council

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. —

The Marco Island City Council appointed Kevin Dohm to fill a vacant seat on Monday.

According to council meeting notes, the council considered seven people to fill the empty seat left by the passing of Erik Brechnitz, eventually picking Dohm in a 4-2 vote.

According to his application, Dohm has been a Marco Island resident for over 15 years, and previously worked as an airline pilot, a flight instructor and a first responder.

Dohm is also active in multiple community activities, including the Collier County MPO Citizens Advisory Committee, the Marco Island Fire Rescue Foundation and the Marco Island Historical Society.

Dohm said he deeply cares about the Marco Island community and its future, and wants to ensure the city continues to thrive for years to come.
