SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking another round of scattered storms this Thursday afternoon with heavy rain and gusty winds the main impacts.

THURSDAY

Thursday morning is starting with temperatures in the 70s. A few afternoon storms will start to pop up after 2 PM with more scattered storms (40% coverage) developing throughout the afternoon and evening. Plan for heavy rain and gusty winds with those storms. Temperatures will feel a bit hotter as highs climb into the lower 90s.

FRIDAY

Friday will begin mild and dry once again with temperatures in the lower to mid 70s. As you kickoff your Memorial Day Weekend, plan for afternoon storm chances as isolated storms (30% coverage) will pop up. Temperatures will be quite hot with highs in the lower to mid 90s and "feels like" temperatures ranging form 98 - 102°.

SATURDAY

Saturday looks to begin quite mild and humid with temperatures in the mid 70s. Expect highs to climb quickly into the lower to mid 90s, with “feels like” temperatures between 98° and 102°. While coastal communities can be a bit drier, scattered storms (40% coverage) develop throughout the afternoon and continue into the evening.
