Deputies find stolen items at Lehigh Acres home linked to construction theft investigation

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. —

Lee County deputies swarmed Greenwood Avenue in Lehigh Acres on Thursday to search a home and remove multiple stolen items linked to a construction theft.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, two people were detained after the search. A Gulf Coast News crew at the scene saw a tow truck hauling away a trailer and deputies searching inside and behind the home, removing metal tanks and rain barrels.

The LCSO said multiple agencies are working on this case and additional information will be forthcoming.
