Gulf Coast contractor renovates hurricane-damaged home for Fort Myers family

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Heatherwood Construction, a Southwest Florida-based commercial general contractor, has completed a $50,000 renovation for the Estrada family’s hurricane-damaged home in Fort Myers through its Helping Hands program.

The Estrada family endured unsafe living conditions for three years after their home was devastated by multiple hurricanes, including a leaking roof and boarded-up windows.

Heatherwood Construction, along with its employees and subcontractors, stepped in to restore safety, security, and comfort to the home just in time for the 2026 hurricane season.
