The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is coordinating a shipment of an experimental Ebola treatment for potential use in Americans exposed to the virus.
The department did not name the antibody treatment, but experts who spoke to CNN said one called MBP134 has shown promising results in animals.
Clinical trials are being considered in the outbreak area in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which could potentially include MBP134 and other drugs.
