A Cape Coral motorcyclist was arrested on super speeder charges after officers say he was caught going 95 mph in a 30 mph zone.
According to an arrest report, officers with the Cape Coral Police Department saw Tanner Hickman, 18, riding a motorcycle around the bend of Chiquita Boulevard North on Tuesday. Officers say Hickman was riding at 95 mph in a 30 mph zone.
CCPD say they stopped Hickman on Jacaranda Parkway, and say he immediately apologized. Hickman reportedly told officers he thought he was only going 85 mph in what he thought was a 45 mph zone.
Hickman reportedly told officers he was driving so fast because he wanted to "get home before the storm."
Hickman was arrested on super speeder charges and taken to the Lee County Jail.
