Human remains found at Sugden Regional Park in Collier County, deputies say

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an active investigation after human remains were discovered at Sugden Regional Park.

According to CCSO, deputies were called to the park at 4284 Avalon Drive around 2:03 p.m. Thursday.

On Friday morning, investigators were seen examining a wooded area near the water, with multiple sheriff’s office vehicles and a crime scene unit at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released additional details citing an active investigation.
