NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — A whale that stranded Friday on a Naples beach has died, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The whale was found near Seagate Drive, where video showed beachgoers trying to care for the animal before wildlife officials arrived.
FWC had been evaluating the whale’s condition to determine the best course of action. No additional details about the whale or what led to the stranding have been released.
