Saturday Outlook

After an afternoon and evening of scattered storms, rain chances are coming to an end for the night.

The rest of the night will feature partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 70s. 

Sunday Forecast

Sunday starts dry and mild, heats up fast into the mid-90s again. Feels like temperatures will be around the triple-digit mark. 

Rain chances tick up slightly, with storms developing a bit later, around 3 to 4 PM, and lingering into the evening hours. Some northern areas could even see a few showers stick around into the late night.

Looking Ahead

Recent model runs are easing rain chances a bit for your Memorial Day plans, with about a 30% chance of afternoon storms. That means many areas stay dry, but not everyone, so it’s a good idea to keep an umbrella nearby.

Later in the week, tropical moisture will usher in higher rainfall chances, also lowering our next weekend temperatures into the upper 80s. We could use the rain, as all of SWFL is still under extreme drought conditions.

Boating Forecast

If you’re planning to get out on the water, aim for the morning hours. Storms are expected to reach the coast between 1 and 2 PM.
