Lee County lifts burn ban as seasonal rain returns to area

LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — The burn ban that has been in place in Lee County since Jan. 20 has been rescinded on Wednesday as seasonal rainfall returns to the area, according to Lee County Public Safety.

The ban, which had been extended weekly since its enactment, was allowed to expire.

Lee County Public Safety encouraged residents and visitors to use caution while resuming any burning activities.
