New playground brings joy to children at St. Matthew’s House Wolfe Apartments

NAPLES, Fla. —

Nearly 60 children at St. Matthew’s House Wolfe Apartments in Golden Gate are enjoying a new playground, made possible by a $50,000 donation from homebuilder GL Homes.

St. Matthew’s House and GL Homes recently celebrated the dedication of the new equipment as community leaders, residents, and supporters gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the apartments.

The project, which took months to complete, reflects a shared commitment to creating safe, supportive environments where children and families can play, grow, and thrive.

Nearly 60 children live in the St. Matthew’s House Wolfe Apartments and now have a safe and fun place to play, where “kids can just be kids” again.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a community dinner as children enjoyed the playground, filling the space with laughter. The event highlighted the power of collaboration in building stronger, more connected neighborhoods.
