Teen trio accused of vandalizing bus also connected to golf cart crime spree in Lee County

Three teens are accused of vandalizing a bus, trespassing on golf courses, and stealing golf carts in a crime spree across Lee County, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
The spree included smashing vending machines in Cape Coral on May 11 and taking a golf cart on a joyride at the Hideaway Country Club in Fort Myers on May 5. Video shows the teens speeding through fairways, parking lots, and eventually crashing at least one of the carts.
Lee County deputies said Gabriel Melendez, Pedro Rojas Jr., and Angel Guadarrama trespassed onto three golf courses across the county. They were arrested on May 15 in connection with the golf course break-ins.
New pictures show shattered glass from a bus that deputies said the teens vandalized on May 5, the same night they are accused of grand theft, burglary and criminal mischief.
Fernando Diaz, the bus owner, said, "They just broke a window and stuff like that, but they didn't take anything."
Deputies said surveillance video shows Angel Guadarrama vandalizing the bus parked behind gates near Page Field. They said the teens used bricks, concrete, and a large potted plant to destroy the bus, causing $4,000 in damage.
"Now it's just a matter of paying for the repairs. But, you know, what can you do?" Diaz said.
According to the arrest report, the teens were seen checking doors at the Ameritech Powder Coating warehouse off South Road and Fourth Street near Page Field, traveling through drainage ditches and bushes between the business and the neighboring Hideaway Country Club.
So far, only Guadarrama has been arrested again in connection to the bus vandalism. Gulf Coast News is working to confirm if Melendez and Rojas Jr. will face additional charges.
