Saturday Outlook
We’re kicking off the weekend under mostly cloudy skies as moisture continues to stream in from the Gulf. Those clouds will bring occasional light showers along the coast throughout the day.
Temperatures will still climb into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees—right around average for this time of year. A light westerly breeze won’t do much to cool things down.
Rainfall today should stay on the lighter side, with limited thunderstorm activity expected due to reduced daytime heating. If any storms do develop, they’ll be most likely later in the evening.
Sunday Forecast
Sunday starts warm and muggy with a mix of sun and clouds. We’ll see more sunshine compared to Saturday, which will help fuel scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Highs will push into the low 90s, so if you have outdoor plans, be sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.
Looking Ahead
Rain chances increase by midweek as tropical moisture interacts with a stalled front. The highest coverage is expected Wednesday into Thursday, with rain chances around 60%.
Temperatures will remain steady in the upper 80s to low 90s.
We’ll also be watching for an update on drought conditions Thursday at 9 AM. With increased rainfall over the past couple of weeks, some improvement is expected.
Boating Forecast
If you’re heading out on the water, expect a few light showers—especially during the morning hours.
Winds will be out of the west at 5 to 10 knots, with a light chop on the bays.
