More moisture, more storms; The shift taking shape across Southwest Florida

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a hotter Wednesday before scattered rain and storms become more numerous through the afternoon and evening.

Wednesday 

Scattered storms will persist through this evening before giving way to a partly to mostly cloudy sky overnight

Thursday

Isolated showers are possible Thursday morning, especially during the late morning hours. Scattered storms, with 60% rain coverage, are expected from midday through the afternoon and evening.

High temperatures will only reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Friday

Rain coverage will be slightly lower Friday, but scattered storms are still expected, with at least 40% rain coverage. Afternoon temperatures will climb to near 90 degrees.

A plume of deep tropical moisture will continue to keep scattered storms moving across Southwest Florida at times throughout the weekend. Expect an unsettled feel at times due to extra cloud cover and periods of rain. An additional 3 to 5 inches of rain is expected over the next seven days.
