An East Fort Myers felon has a new warrant out for his arrest for violating his probation after an arrest for DUI and fleeing and eluding, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers says Steven Manuel, 38, was initially arrested after being seen going 15 miles over the speed limit and swerving between lanes. When officers tried to pull him over, Manuel kept on driving before pulling into his own driveway.
After stopping, officers noted a smell of alcohol and marijuana on Manuel, though he told them that he only had one beer. A breathalyzer test showed Manuel's blood alcohol content at nearly three times the legal driving limit.
Manuel pleaded guilty to his charges and was sentenced to probation in March. He violated the terms of his probation two months later when he was arrested in Sarasota for driving with a suspended license.
Manuel is 5 feet 11 inches, weighs 150 pounds and will be held without bond upon his arrest.
If you have information in this case, you are asked to contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), on the P3 app, or on its website. You can remain anonymous, and if your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
