Five injured, three trauma alerted after semi-trailer crash on I-75 in Collier County

Five people were injured, including three who were trauma alerted, after a semi-trailer rolled over and struck at least two cars on I-75 in Collier County near mile marker 108 at the Pine Ridge Road exit.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred early this morning.

The southbound lanes of I-75 have since reopened between Pine Ridge Road and Golden Gate Parkway.

Some of the victims had to be flown to the hospital.

Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash.
