1 dead after crash involving garbage truck on Janes Scenic Dr in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

One person is dead after a crash involving a garbage truck and an SUV in Collier County on Monday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash took place on SR-29 and Janes Scenic Drive Monday morning.

FHP said that one occupant in the SUV was pronounced dead at Physicians Regional Hospital, and the driver of the SUV sustained serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
