COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)—Three people died and four more were injured in a multi-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on southbound Interstate 75 at mile marker 107 near the Pine Ridge Road exit, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said a 31-year-old Naples man driving a 2014 Freightliner box truck drifted off the roadway around 3:54 a.m., veered back onto southbound I-75 and overturned, blocking the center and outside travel lanes. The driver sustained minor injuries and exited the truck.

A 25-year-old Naples man driving a BMW stopped at the crash scene and got out to help the box truck driver, according to FHP. A 20-year-old Naples man driving a 2023 Tesla with four passengers was traveling south on I-75 when the front of the Tesla collided with the underside of the overturned box truck and the BMW driver.
