Cape Coral builder leads community push to get local kids ready for school

CAPE CORAL, FL - A local home builder is rallying the Southwest Florida community to help kids head back to school with everything they need.

Bahnam Builders is hosting a "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive throughout the month of June, collecting donations for local students and families getting ready for the upcoming school year.

The drive runs June 1 through June 19, with drop-offs accepted daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 4218 SW 17th Ave in Cape Coral.

Community members can bring backpacks, notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, glue sticks, scissors and other classroom essentials to the Crawford Model Home location.

A school bus will serve as the main collection station at the site.

Several local organizations are backing the effort, including Oasis High School, LMCU, Staples, Christian Life Fellowship, CCCIA and Cicis Pizza. Bahnam Builders is also welcoming local businesses and trade partners to get involved as sponsors or donors.
