Fort Myers mom accused of attacking teen at youth football game set to be arraigned

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) — A Fort Myers mother accused of attacking a 13-year-old during a kids football game is scheduled to face a Lee County judge on Monday morning.

34-year-old Renee Lambert is set to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. WINK News first reported this story in May after Lambert was caught on camera allegedly throwing punches and kicking a youth player on the opposing team.

A fight broke out during a matchup between the Southwest Florida Panthers and the Fort Myers Falcons. Body camera video from the Lee County Sheriff's Office captured the chaotic moments as deputies placed Lambert under arrest.

"You are being pointed out as being a suspect right now. You are detained," a deputy said. "You're an adult."

Lambert has been charged with resisting an officer and cruelty towards a child, a felony. She has entered a not-guilty plea and waived her right to appear in court.
