Teen on e-bike injured following Charlotte County hit-and-run

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — A 17-year-old was injured after he was hit by a car while riding his e-bike, and troopers said the driver kept going.

Florida Highway Patrol arrested 33-year-old Angelica Clark after the crash Saturday night. Clark got home after the crash and told her son what happened, who eventually called 911, according to FHP.

She allegedly told troopers she had been drinking before the crash.

The crash happened in Charlotte County on Coliseum and Wilmington boulevards, right next to Myakka River Elementary School. Clark gave a blood sample to troopers, according to her arrest report.

FHP said toxicology results are still pending.
