Charlotte County man accused of selling 500 pills to undercover detectives

A Charlotte County man is accused of selling over 500 pills and cocaine to undercover deputies, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
In a news release, CCSO says their Narcotics Unit received multiple tips stating that a man, Christopher Scalisi, 53, was selling narcotics throughout the county. Deputies say they were able to get Scalisi to sell cocaine, Xanax/Alprazolam pills and amphetamine pills to detectives on several occasions.
CCSO says detectives purchased a total of:
- 7.8 grams of cocaine
- 10 Xanax/Alprazolam pills
- 563 amphetamine pills
Scalisi was arrested on the following charges:
- Sale and delivery of cocaine within 1,000 ft. of a park
- Possession of cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 ft. of a park
- Sale and delivery of Xanax/Alprazolam
- Possession of Xanax/Alprazolam with the intent to sell
- Two counts of trafficking amphetamine over 14 grams
- Two counts of possession of amphetamine with the intent to sell within 1,000 ft. of a park
- Three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia
Scalisi, CCSO says, was already out on bond for other narcotics-related charges. He's being held at the Charlotte County Jail.
