Florida Highway Patrol trooper injured in crash at Lee County gated community

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was injured in a crash that occurred in a gated community in Lee County Friday morning.

According to FHP, the trooper was driving one of two vehicles involved in a crash in The Place at Corkscrew Community. The trooper was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
