Fort Myers man accused of probation violation following 49th arrest

A Fort Myers man is accused of violating the terms of his probation following his 49th arrest on fleeing and eluding charges, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers says Dessie Crawford, 63, was spotted by deputies rolling a stop sign at a busy intersection. When they attempted to pull over Crawford, deputies say he kept driving for another two miles before stopping at a local business.
Crime Stoppers says Crawford was driving with an expired tag and an indefinitely suspended license. He was arrested and taken to jail, where he was found guilty of his charges.
Crawford was placed on 36 months of probation, which he is accused of violating. He's been arrested 48 other times on several charges, including grand theft, robbery, aggravated assault and the sale and delivery of cocaine.
Crawford is 5 feet 9 inches, weighs 170 pounds and was last known to be living in central Fort Myers. He could also be using the aliases Coochie Crawford, Sporty Crawford or Bernard Crawford.
