Former Ida Baker High School teacher faces arraignment in student sex case

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A former Ida Baker High School basketball coach, accused of having a sexual relationship with a student, has an arraignment set for Monday morning.

Police said the investigation started in February after a student came forward about 36-year-old Casimiro Razo. Students told investigators the vocational teacher and boys' basketball coach contacted the student outside of school and passed her notes.
Investigators also said Razo told her to stay after class before taking her to a storage room to kiss her.
The Lee County School District suspended Razo with pay and banned him from returning to campus. Razo made his first appearance in court in May.
His arraignment is set for 8:30 a.m.
